At various times it was possible to see other operators vehicles at Chelsham Garage, this could be to cover a shortage of serviceable buses, or was often because of a defect or break down while in service, when Chelsham engineers would be summoned for assistance, leading to the vehicle being brought up to Chelsham for attention. At other times it could be when coaches on visits to Croydon for shopping trips would lay-over at Chelsham before the return journey.Preserved vehicles also made visits.
