Leyland Atlantean AN 5 JPL105K now Kentish Bus 901 pulls out of the bus park at Chelsham Garage and heads off across the hills for the long trek back over the hills to DT Dartford Garage while on Training duties. June 1987

The following photos were taken in the days after the loss of Chelsham Bus Garage. A rare visitor outside Warlingham Sainsbury's is London General open-top Metrobus OM171 from Sutton (A) Garage as a Taylor's trainer coach heads past. 1995

A surprise visitor to the country lanes around Chelsham on Sunday September 20th 1998 was Brighton & Hove open top Bristol VR No. 615. The bus was running a free shuttle service between the special car park in a field in Chelsham Road and the venue of the Challenge Farleigh event being held at The Warlingham Boys Club, the bus made circular trips turning at Warlingham Park Hospital and the roundabout at Warlingham Sainsburys. 20/9/1998

Just to prove that I enjoyed a full round trip between Sainsburys and Warlingham Park Hospital on Brighton & Hove open top Bristol VR 615, here is a view approaching Warlingham Park Hospital while passing a London & Country Volvo Olympian on route 403 returning to West Croydon. 20/9/1998

Another rare visitor to the country lanes around Chelsham on Sunday September 19th 1999 was Brighton & Hove No. 819"MAX MILLER" from Hove Garage, an open top Dennis Trident, conveying an Elvis Presley look-alike along with loads of children from Farleigh School. The bus was running a free shuttle service between the special car park in a field in Chelsham Road and the venue of the Challenge Farleigh event being held at The Warlingham Boys Club, the bus made circular trips turning at Warlingham Park Hospital and Warlingham Green 19/9/1999
