Open-top visitors to Chelsham

During the off-season months, it was often possible to see open-top buses at Chelsham Garage, in the case of the first two views the vehicles were being used as Training buses and would have called into Chelsham for the staff to take a meal break before tackling some of the steep hills of the district. The third picture taken after the closure of Chelsham Garage shows a London General open-top Metrobus Trainer. The last two scenes show Brighton & Hove open toppers working a special free park and ride service in connection with the 1998 and 1999 Challenge Farleigh event. Variety is the spice of life.
