Our Driver was Paul Young and our Conductor was Steve Miller.

We were celebrating Alan’s 65th Birthday, also on this day 74 years ago (21/02/1934) London Transport bus route 453 commenced running between Caterham-on-the-Hill and Warlingham Green. Our Routemaster Bus, RML 2317, CUV 317C was the 12th of 100 Routemasters ordered for London Transport Country Buses, and first went into service at Godstone Garage (GD) in October 1965 on local routes 409, 410 and 411.
